Final Highway

FINAL HIGHWAY is a text-based survival/RPG Roguelike, meaning unlike traditional games built in an engine, FH is entirely played in a command console.

FINAL HIGHWAY is set in 1999, where less than a year prior, the earth suddenly fell into ruin. On a cold November night, every person asleep across the globe... changed. When they awoke from their slumber, they had white eyes, pale skin, and were muttering nonsensical gibberish. And then they began to walk. Billions began marching towards... something. Hiking for days until their bodies collapsed and failed from exhaustion.

You play as one of the few who didn't sleep that night, and are tasked with making an almost 4,000 mile journey across America, from Washington State to Florida, by salvaging cars and materials to survive.

From the Developer: While this game is fully playable and was built, ultimately, to be a game, Final Highway is more of a tech demo or a simulation than a game. This was supposed to be a challenge for myself, to try and make a game without an engine. So if you are going to critique it, just keep that in mind.
